Postcard

Postcard?
When it’s a cold and gloomy day, the last thing I want to do is get out of the house and go shopping for a postcard. When it’s nice and sunny, I would much rather get together with friends, or go for a walk; the last thing I want to do, again, is to go shopping for a postcard. Why should I put up with the hassle of going out to buy a postcard and with the hassle of sending it out via snail mail? Why when there are so many, much more convenient alternatives?
One alternative is to create a beautiful electronic postcard on my iDevice from the comfort of my own home (when it’s cold and I don’t want to go outside) or from anywhere else (when it’s nice outside and I want to go out). Once I have my beautiful postcard, I can easily and conveniently send it out via email or via MMS – it’s a lot faster than snail mail.
This is precisely the sort of functionality you can expect to get from the Bitfield-developed and appropriately named app Postcard. You can get a picture from your library or snap one right then and there, add a beautiful frame, add some text, then send it out to friends and family. As mentioned above, you can share the postcard you create with the app via email and MMS. The process of creating a custom postcard is so incredibly simple that even a novice will immediately feel at home using the Postcard app.
Not everyone in the world speaks English and it seems that the developer of the Postcard app is well aware of this fact. Consequently Postcard provides support for multiple languages, including French, German, and Japanese. I like it when a developer takes the time to localize its offering.
The Postcard app is available for purchase in the App Store for $1.99.
